V teoretické části je vysvětlení pojmů rozvojová a rozvinutá země, představení jednotlivých organizací, které se zabývají adopcí na dálku, a projektů, které mají výrazně pomoci lidem žijícím ve velké chudobě. Rovněž ukazuje odlišný systém školství a projekty k zlepšení tamního vzdělávání. Zároveň jsou zde zmíněny termíny dítě předškolního a mladšího školního věku a důležitost rodiny, protože právě ty jsou nejdůležitějšími faktory při projektu adopce na dálku. Legal status of adopter and the best interests of the child

This rigorosum thesis focuses on the analysis of the current legislation of the institute of adoption in Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Czech Civil Code, focusing on specific requirements for the person of a potential adopter. Criteria related to the legal status of the adoptive parent are critically examined in this work primarily through the prism of the equality principle and the principle of the best interests of the child as a paramount principle of adoption enshrined in international conventions by which the Czech Republic is bound. The main goal of this work is to draw attention to the conservative approach of the national legislator to issues related to the adoption of the child, in which the strong roots of historical views and traditions are still evident. The evaluation of the suitability of the adopter's marriage as a basic condition for the adoption of a child is realized by comparison with foreign legislation, by analysis of relevant provisions of international treaties governing family and child rights and foreign case law and by research in sociology and law. The final part of the thesis is devoted to reasoning about the legal regulation of the requirements for the legal status of the adopter de lege ferenda. Domestic adoption in Korea

Adoption has always been bone of contention in Republic of Korea. The country, which for a few decades gave it's abandoned children upon international adoption and for a long time was profiting through it, had to face this problematics in the 90's to maintain it's status of modern state. Since then an Adoption law was changed a several times. The last version from 2012 caused a lot of contradictions, if it lowers a number of international adoption to the detriment of more abandoned children. This bachalors thesis targets aspects of this act and it's actual effects. Equally is focusing on domestic adoption in ROK and it's charasteristics from different points of view. Parses opinon of Korean citizens about adoption and unwed mothers, who are main source of abandoned children.

Adoption according to New Civil Code

The theme of the bachelor thesis is an institute of an adoption under the new Civil Code, Act No. 89/2012 Coll., which brought big changes to the entire private law with the effect from January 1st 2014. The theoretical part tries to bring a comprehensive view of the adoption, as one of the foster care forms and describes the most fundamental changes that have occurred with the effect of the new Civil Code. Firstly, it explains the basic concepts of the Family Law, such as family, kinship and foster care that are necessary for the overall orientation in the issue. Over the following seven subchapters the thesis deals, at first with the adoption as one of the main alternative family care forms; with the adoptive parents and the adopted child; with the consent of the adoption and the associated conditions; with the care before the adoption, which has undergone a substantial change compared to the previous regulation; also consequences of an adoption; the eventual annulment of an adoption, and the last subchapter discusses the adoption of an adult, which appears with the new Civil Code as a completely new institution. The theoretical part is processed by the analysis method of the issue with a partial comparison with the legislation effective till December 31st 2013. In the empirical part of the bachelor thesis is applied the qualitative research method using the structured interview techniques. The aim of this part of the thesis was to ascertain the views of the workers of the Department of Social Child Protection, Foster Care Department in Ceske Budejovice about the new legislation in practice, evaluation of its contribution, or conversely the negatives. The final section incorporates the research results with the answer to the research question, clearly presented acquired data as well as the idea of further research topic is attached.

Law and psychological aspects of adoptions

This master thesis deals with Legal and Psychological Aspects of Adoptions. As far as the first chapter is concerned, it goals to introduce the institute of adoption, describe it in its historical context and outline its legal regulation. The adoption is one of the oldest institutes of the family law and its roots date back to ancient civilizations. As the society has been evolving and changing during the centuries, the conception and content of this institute has been transformed as well. The primary impulse of this institute was to regulate property issues, mostly in favour of an adoptive parent. This is what distinguishes present regulation that principally aims at rendering protection to an adoptive child. During the evolution of this ancient institute, the humanistic notion has prevailed. This notion is reflected by both international treaties and national legal regulation, they both render protection to the child and its interests.
